Title sequences for Edwin Brienen movies

These are three title sequences plus one endtitle sequence designed and produced for the Dutch transgressive film auteur Edwin Brienen. Full freedom was given to play with provided material (for Exploitation), found footage from the internet (for GOD) and self-produced typographic film (for I‘d like to die a thousend times) respectively. There were no limits to play around and only short statements of vague ideas were given.
Short clips from the original material were re-filmed from tv screen to get the distinct pixelated screen effect. These were combined with other clips of the same material with minimal effects like colarization, contrast shift and graining. The goal was to get an 80ies-like video touch.

Found footage from the internet was filmed directly from the screen and edited with some minimal effects put on. The only specificaions given were to use material of tv evangelists and such. Typography was used unleashed to compliment the images. This was a combined title-endtitle-sequence following the movie’s conclusion.
No specificaions were given on this one. Typography was done in Textedit.app, filmed from the screen and mixed with white noise plus some original material. Endtitles wer done the same way.
